Rajasthan Forts Palaces Tour :: Day 01 -
Arrival in New Delhi
In the morning arrive in New Delhi. The cosmopolitan City and
capital New Delhi is the main gateway for travelers. Upon arrival,
you will be met by our representative and transferred to the Hotel.
In the afternoon have sightseeing in Old Delhi & take a Rickshaw
Ride parallel to the Red Fort through the old city and famous Silk
Road and Silver Bazaar. Sightseeing of Old Delhi includes "Rajghat",
the site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated and Jama Masjid, the
great mosque of old Delhi. Today also visit the famous "Humayun
Tomb" and "Qutub Minar". "Qutub Minar" is 71 meter high and consists
of five stories. In 1199 work began on this tower which was intended
to be the most glorious tower of victory in the
world. This tower was damaged twice and repaired in 1326 and 1368.
Before you proceed to the Hotel drive through the embassy area in
New Delhi where you visit the India Gate and see some impressive
Government Buildings.
Rajasthan Forts Palaces Tour :: Day 02 -
New Delhi - Alwar (about 170 km)
In the morning we drive to Alwar. Alwar is referred as the gateway
to the historic and colorful state of Rajasthan. Alwar has had a
chequered history and has been a witness to many rules and rulers.
It offers the traveler various sites of historical importance. The
main tourist attraction of Alwar is City Palace or Vinay Vilas Mahal.
In the afternoon we visit the Vinay Vilas Mahal or City Palace. This
palace has a fine museum with more than 7000 manuscripts, miniature
paintings in both Mughal and Rajasthani style, armour, textiles and
musical instruments. In the evening we will visit the Siliserh Lake.
Rajasthan Forts Palaces Tour :: Day 03 -
Alwar - Samode (about 120 km)
Today we leave Alwar and proceed to Samode. Samode is famous for its
palace where we have an overnight stay. We enjoy the stay in the
Samode Palace and visit the wonderful Darbar Hall (Audience hall)
and other parts of the palace of Maharaja which are decorated
beautifully with the miniature paintings. On special occasions this
wonderful 400 years old Palace of Samode is decorated and fulfilled
with traditional dance and music.
Rajasthan Forts Palaces Tour :: Day 04 -
Samode - Pushkar (about 205 km)
Today we leave samode and drive to Pushkar. Pushkar being one of the
most religious places for Hindus has the atmosphere of an ancient
religious town. The only temple of God Brahma is in Pushkar thus
making Pushkar an important pilgrimage city for Hindus. Pushkar has
become famous in the world due to its Pushkar Festival which takes
place in the month of November when the whole of Pushkar is
transformed into a spectacular fair ground where thousands of
pilgrims come to bath in the holy water of Pushkar lake and the
biggest cattle and camel markets take place here where Farmers,
breeders and camel traders buy and sell.
Rajasthan Forts Palaces Tour :: Day 05 -
Pushkar - Khimsar (about 210 km)
In the morning we drive to Khimsar. Khimsar is famous for its Fort
of 18th century which is now one of the best heritage hotel in the
country. This fort is well preserved like a royal manor and is
spread over eleven acres of sprawling lawns, orchard and open
courtyard. After the check in and evening tea we proceed for a jeep
safari in the desert to Black Buck reserve.

Khimsar – Luni (about 200 km)
Today we take leave from the Khimar and drive to Luni. In Luni we
enjoy the overnight stay in the Fort Chanwa which has been converted
into a Hotel. This fort has big complex of courtyards, towers, water
wheels, stables and secret stairways. We also have enough time to
have a walk in the Village to have an impression of the rural life
in the area.
Rajasthan Forts Palaces Tour :: Day 07 –
Luni – Ranakpur (about 200 km)
Today we drive to Ranakpur. Ranakpur is known for its superbly
carved marble Jain Temples. An enormous basement of this temple
covers 48,000 sq. feet. There are four subsidiary shrines, twenty
four pillared halls. The total number of columns is 1444, all of
which are intricately carved, no two being alike. The Ranakpur Jain
Temples were built during the 15th century. Today we have one night
stay in Ranakpur and visit the Ranakpur Jain temples and also
discover this small village on foot which is at the same time one of
the holiest and pilgrimage place for the Jains.

Ranakpur – Kumbhalgarh (about 48 kms)
Today we drive to Kumbhalgarh. Late evening we arrive in Kumbhalgarh.
Kumbhalgarh is one of the finest examples of defensive fortification
in Rajasthan. The main tourist attraction of Kumbhalgarh is the
Kumbhalgarh Fort. Today visit the Kumbhalgarh fort. This fort was
the second most important fort of the Mewar kingdom after
Chittorgarh. This fort is rising from a prominent ridge at a height
of 1914 meters high from the sea level. The fort was built in 15th
century AD by Rana Kumbha. The fort has witnessed many heroic deeds
of great warriors. We also drive to Kumbhalgarh wildlife sanctuary
which has an area of 578 sq kms and is situated at the height of 500
to 1,300m. There are wolf, leopards, sloth bear, hyena, jackal,
jungle cat, sambhar, nilgai, Chausingha (the four horned antelope),
chinkara and hare are found at the century. For Bird lovers there
are also a lot to admire, jungle fowl can be spotted here. Peacocks
and Doves can be seen very often. Your safari route starts from the
sanctuary from the Kumbhalgarh Fort and take us across the
sanctuary. On this route we can see Chinkaras, Blue big antelopes,
four horned Antelope and many different kind of birds.

Kumbhalgarh - Chittorgarh (about 150 kms)
After having breakfast, we drive to Chittorgarh. In the afternoon we
visit the Chittorgarh Fort, the world famous fort of Rajasthan. On
the crest of the enormous grey hill, girdled by massive walls and
seven majestic gateways, one stumbles upon shattered palaces, a
"Temple of Mirabai" - the mystic poetess and the intricately carved
nine storeyed Tower of Fame, built in the 12th century in honour of
Lord Adinath, the first Jain Tirthankara.

Chittorgarh – Bundi (about 140 kms)
Today after having breakfast drive to Bundi. Bundi is most famous
for its baoris (step wells) as there are many impressive ones. On
the top of the hill is majestic Taragarh Fort of Bundi, the
interesting fort is worth exploring for hours. The fort has many
reservoirs, which are annually emptied flooding the streets leading
down to the city. Overnight in Bundi.

Bundi – Ranthambore (about 160 kms)
Today after the breakfast we leave for Ranthambore. Ranthambore is
well known for the world famous Ranthambore National park.
Ranthambore National Park is a well known tiger reserve under
Project Tiger. Ranthambore National park is surrounded by the
Vindhyas and the Aravali mountains and covers an area of 392 square
km. The Tiger remains the biggest attraction of the Ranthambore
National Park. This national park is the home of a vast variety of
animals. In the evening we will explore the park and have a jungle
safari. Here we might have an audience with the tiger. In this park
besides tiger various other animals like Sambhar, Cheetal, Wild
Boar, Leopard, Sloth Bear, Jackal and Hyena can also be seen.
Rajasthan Forts Palaces Tour :: Day 12 -
Ranthambore - Jaipur (about 190 km)
Today we leave Ranthambore and drive to the Pink City Jaipur. This
city owes its name, foundations and careful planning to the great
warrior and astronomer, Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. Jaipur is the
capital of Rajasthan and famous for its handicrafts and precious and
semiprecious stones. In the afternoon we visit the City Palace which
is still the formal residence of the royal family, built in a blend
of the Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. In the museum of the city
palace we visit the private collection of the Jaipur Maharajas. We
continue to Jantar Mantar, a stone observatory, the largest of Jai
Singh's five remarkable observatories. It's complex instruments
reveals us the secrets of medieval Indian astronomy.
Rajasthan Forts Palaces Tour :: Day 13 -
Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra (about 260 km)
Today we leave Rajasthan, the biggest state in India and drive
through a series of fields, small towns and villages in direction of
Agra. Enroute we make a stop and visit Fatehpur Sikri, which was
once an imperial capital frozen in time, constructed by Akbar the
Great in the 16th century. This wonderful city constructed by red
sand stones was abandoned as abruptly as it had been built. It has
been generally stated that it was due to failing in the water
supply. In the afternoon arrival in Agra. Today we will visit the
the Agra Fort, built by three of the greatest Mughal emperors. The
construction of this massive structure began in 1565 under Akbar's
reign and continued till the time of his grandson's reign, Shah
Jahan who built the impressive imperial quarters and mosque.
Rajasthan Forts Palaces Tour :: Day 14 -
Agra – New Delhi
After the visit of Agra Fort we proceed to visit the most beautiful
monument of India, the Taj Mahal, an enduring monument to love, with
a continually fulfilling beauty. It was built by the Mughal Emperor
Shah Jahan between 1631-52, as a tomb and memorial to his beloved
wife Mumtaz Mahal (Jewel of the Palace), who died at the age of 39
giving birth to her 14th child. We spend enough time at Taj Mahal to
take this impressive memory home. After the visit of Taj Mahal we
have a look at the famous fine marble inlay work which is still
being done in Agra by the descendants of the families of builders
and artists of the Taj Mahal. After sightseeing in Agra drive to
Delhi. Arrival in Delhi in the evening. The rest of the day at
leisure.
Around midnight flight to home destination. At the time of departure
our driver & representative will drop you at International Airport.
